NFL Women's Jerseys: How to Find Your Perfect Fit

1. How the women’s cut differs from the men’s

Most NFL jerseys you see photographed are the unisex (men’s) build: a straight, boxy cut with a roomy chest and a longer hem, designed to be worn over shoulder pads. The women’s version keeps the same team colours, crests and fonts but reshapes the shirt to the body:

• Tapered waist — the side seams curve in at the middle instead of dropping straight, so the shirt follows the waist.
• Shorter body — the hem sits higher, roughly an inch shorter than the men’s same label, so it doesn’t bunch at the hips.
• Narrower shoulders — the yoke and sleeves are cut closer, removing the pad allowance.
• Neckline — women’s Game jerseys use a smaller crew or V-neck rather than the wide men’s crew.

The practical upshot: if you normally wear a men’s Large, the women’s XL is usually the closer match for chest and length — the women’s cut simply removes the padding ease. When in doubt, size up; a free exchange sorts the rest (see the returns note below).

4. How to measure yourself

Two numbers get you the right women’s size. Grab a soft tape and don’t pull it tight:

1. Chest: wrap the tape under your arms at the fullest part of your bust, keeping it level across the back.
2. Body length: measure from the highest point of your shoulder straight down to where you want the hem to sit — most fans like it at the hip.
3. Compare both numbers with the chart above; if your chest sits between two sizes, choose the larger for a comfortable game-day fit.
4. Don’t size down. Even women’s cuts carry a little ease for layering a tee underneath — a snug jersey rides up when you raise your arms.
